Rehabilitation is the process to regain full function following a injury and involves restoring strength, flexibility, endurance and power.
It is achieved through various exercises and drills. Rehabilitation is as important as treatment following an injury but unfortunately is often overlooked.
The aim of a rehabilitation program is to regain pre-injury levels in all aspects of physical fitness. A full rehabilitation and strengthening program is essential to ensure full recovery and in order to prevent re-injuries.
“I have known Penny Daly for approximately four years. I first meet penny in July 2013 after breaking my leg in an industrial accident, after three months in therapy & aqua else where, my doctor suggested that I may like to further speed up my recovery by going to the gym. I googled a personal trainer that’s when I meet penny, being the true professional that she is, she was reluctant to take me on as a client, saying that I should still be in the pool doing non-weight bearing exercises, after consulting with my physiotherapist & doctor she designed a light exercise program. Penny’s fears were justified after only 1 training session she convinced me to go for another x-ray. it was discovered that I needed further operations.
