Postural Strength & Balance Training

 

Postural Strength & balance training is the single most important thing you can do in staying vertical and staying independent. As we grow older, we lose muscle strength our posture becomes rounded and we lose our sense of balance.

 

The more active we remain, the better the chances of keeping our muscles strong & our joints mobile, in turn you will have a better posture & better balance.

 

Strength & balance training reduces your risk of having a fall by 75%, keeping you independent at the same time improve your overall health and well being.

 

You can no longer deny & stick your head in the sand because doctors all over the world agree that to reduce your risk of falling you have to improve your balance and increase your body & postural strength.

 

Postural Strength & balance training will:
– Improves balance & co-ordination
– Improves muscle strength
– Assists joint mobility & stability of the joints
– Maintains bone strength & bone density ( preventing fragile bones, osteoporosis)
– Improves stamina & speeds up your reaction time.

 

Posture Strength & balance training has plenty of benefits. It will keep your heart strong, your blood pressure, your sugar levels & your weight down.

 

Age could be a barrier only if you let it be, research shows that any exercise at any age is worth the effort. If you are in any doubt about exercises, please talk to your doctor.

 

Gentle Fit exercise is a non-medically supervised, community-based, low to moderate intensity exercise program, that is open to everyone. It is best suited for the older young at hearts, the unfit or the over weight person also suitable for people who have low to moderate risk factors, who have stable heart disease or diabetes or other stable chronic conditions.

 

A SAFE PROGRAM focusing on fall prevention, physical inactivity, balance, flexibility and coordination, with a combination of cardio, tai chi, standing yoga stretch and resistance training. Gentle fit classes will help you to avoid muscle loss and metabolic reduction.

 

Gentle Fit exercise increases your basal metabolic rate (BMR) and lean body mass while helping to reduce body fat, and improve bone mineral density and blood lipid levels, which helps protect you from osteoporosis.
